As part of my 2025 retrospective, celebrating ten years as a full-time artist. I’m creating a collective artwork made up of 550 unique contributions… each one a word and a colour, submitted by you.
This idea began back in 2021 with the Instagram Psycolourgy Project, when I invited 550 people I’d interacted with on Instagram to send me a colour and a word they associated with it. The responses were honest, moving, and often unexpectedly profound. Some gave me a block of colour and a single word. Others sent a photo and asked me to pick a tone. Many shared personal stories alongside their entries… some light-hearted, some quietly heartbreaking. The final piece was assembled chronologically and became a kind of emotional landscape… built entirely from connection, intuition and trust.
This time, things are a little more refined. I’ve coded a new interface that lets you choose your exact shade using a colour picker… something that was a bit more haphazard last time around. But the spirit remains the same.
